Founded on October 31st, 1955 in Ban Ciao City, Taipei. National Taiwan University of Arts was previously named as “National Arts School”. The University now has approximately 2500 Full-time students and 2200 students in Continuing Education. Its Academic section consists of 4 Departments:
  1. Department of Fine Arts (Dept of Fine Arts, Dept of Sculpture, The Dept. of Architecture Art Conservation, The Dept. of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting, and The Graduate School of Plastic Arts);
  2. Department of Design (The Dept. of Visual Communication Arts, The Dept. of Craft Design, The Dept. of Multimedia and Animation Arts, and The Graduate School of Applied Media Arts);
  3. Department of Broadcast (The Dept. of Motion Picture, The Dept. of Radio and Television, The Dept. of Graphic Communication Arts, and The Graduate School of Applied Media Arts); and
  4. Department of Performance Arts (The Dept. of Music, The Dept. of Chinese Music, The Dept. of Dance, The Dept. of Drama, and The Graduate School of Performing Arts).

NTUA offers Master Degrees, Bachelor Degrees, to Vocational diploma programs.
